Proof of Stake (PoS)
Proof of Stake (PoS) is a type of consensus algorithm by which a cryptocurrency blockchain network aims to achieve distributed consensus via various combinations of random selection as well as the stake. The first cryptocurrency to adopt the PoS method was Peercoin.
Supernode Proof of Stake (SPoS)
In 2018, Sunny King developed Supernode Proof of Stake (SPoS) consensus algorithm. It included some key features such as fixed interval block production, cold minting, and stake liquidity.
